Recently a client walked in to my room and sat silently for a while. As a counsellor i waited for him to talk after greeting him.he was silent, and then said"you know what is in my mind i dont need to tell you".Many have asked me if i can read their  mind or even guess what they are thinking.I replied to him saying, iam not a mindreader nor an astrologer  or a person with extra esp.iam here to help you to tune your mind and give solution to your problems , understanding your ownself.

A counselling session normally requires 6-8 sessions depending on how the client is progressing.our job is to listen and your job is to keep ranting your feelings.let me give you a small exercise .take a paper and write down all the negative and positive aspects of yourself being very honest.then work on your negative aspects. As you keep doing it you will tend to keep giving reasons why you have that particular attitude.do not justify, instead work on it and see how you can work on your personality.please do this no matter ,if you are the busiest or the  wealthiest person. If your personality is not on the right track money and education have no importance in your life.

more in my next blog on gender aspects .cheers!

Yes I do agree with you Chandini . Many a times the health care provider along with counsellors have to face this problem and very right approch to tackle this problem is to tell him or her in honest method that I am here to help you and first of all let me have your problem ( whatever it may be )and only tha there can be a solution .
