Renal Failure

I have a question to ask about acute renal failure. Do they use spiral action to force diuretics like frusemide? Will this increase renal function? If the cause is toxemia, will diuretics help in filtration of toxins? Since the cause of renal failure is increase of toxins, will it be favorable to use this method with use of anti-toxins?
