Artificial Insemination

Artificial insemination is a simple and inexpensive medical procedure, commonly used in the treatment of infertility. AI is just one of those options that may be considered prior to attempting more involved treatments, such as IVF.

More information on this and other Assisted Reproduction Technologies (ART) is available at Medindia’s support group on the subject.

ICSI is very often carried out because of the male factor. in other words it is carried out when the male of a couple has a condition called oligospermia (low sperm count). There is a great chance that these men with oligospermia, whose gametes are less than optimal, pass on the same to their male child too.
