Hi, My name is Becky and my daughter is Sarah she is 14 years old. Saturday, October 9th 2010 she was having a horrible headache. Her family doctor had actually been treating her for Migraines and the medication was just not helping. When I took her in to the E.R. the doctor asked me if she had any images done and I told her no. She ordered a CT Scan and came back to us to tell us Sarah had a mass in her Cerebellum it was about 3 cm in size. Of course I was in shock and then she told me a Neurologist would be in to see me to explain what needed to be done. Shortly after when all family was with us, Sarah had been taken down for an MRI to confirm what the CT Scan was showing and the doctor came in to confirm in fact it was a Tumor approx. 3 cm in size, he told us she would be admitted and surgery as soon as possible. Sarah was in surgery Monday October 11th 2010 to remove the Tumor. She had been in surgery a few hours and when the surgeon came out he told us he was able to get it all but did find another part that he was unable to get to and would address that later. She came out with a tube draining the fluid off her brain. The Mass was large enough to cause swelling and fluid build up which is what was causing the pain. She had the tube until Friday October 15th 2010 to install a shunt. She ended up not needing one they did a Third Ventricular Bypass which just re-routed the fluid to drain out of her brain. Now, since her surgery she is home and has double vision in both eyes but weak muscles on her left side arm and leg. Now she has a rash that started out like hives but has now taken over her top part of her body, her cheeks and she is having some headache over her left eye. She has a doctor's appointment tomorrow to see what's going on. We haven't gotten her pathology report back but her doctor is looking at Polocytic Astroytoma. Hello to everyone, My friend has a brain tumor in 3rd stage,she is now 16 years old. she can't take breath properly when she get tension. Docs are said, they try to some injections and go for surgery then..... Plzz tell the what is the exact solution... is she recover from that brain tumor?
