Home Remedy for cough and cold-Really works

For cough and cold you can take a mixture of 70-80 basil leaves,1/2 inch of ginger, some jaggery and 1 teaspoon pure ghee. First mash basil leaves and ginger together. In a pan take ghee and put jaggery and allow it to melt in it. Then add the basil leaves and ginger mixture and mix it. Saute for 30 sec. Let it cool a bit.Have 1 teaspoon of this mixture with warm milk 2-3 times a day. I have tried this out recently and it proved to be very effective.

Hi,

I generally advise that a couple of Parijatak leaves should be added with Tulsi leaves, as they are anti-pyretic and can bring down fever too. Also I agree that the mixture tastes real good :)
