bald

My dad turned bald at the age of 36. I have just stepped into college and I don’t wanna end up bald as him. Can hair loss be inherited?

It is commonly believed that a man is more likely to have hair loss if his mother's father also had hair loss. But there’s no proof about such a claim. There is a possibility of inheritance if:

• A problem with a single gene that may or may not affect all men the same
• A problem with a pair of genes that are related to sex chromosomes
• A problem with multiple genes
To tell you the truth, a person who experiences hair loss can have a family history of hair loss on either side of the family. On the other hand, there may be no family history of hair loss. The good news is - if you have someone in your family who has hair loss, it doesn't mean you will have hair loss, also. I used to consult Dr. Rink, a dermatologist from Mediangels for my dandruff issue. After a couple of sessions my dandruff just vanished and has not returned till now. She truly is a magician. Why don’t you chat up with her?
