I am a 14 year old girl and I believe I suffer from this syndrome and have since I was a young child. It wasn't until a few days ago that I could pin point it, discovered it was a syndrome and that it wasn't just me. I live in New Zealand and I need help. Anyone who knows about any support groups or associations in New Zealand that could help me with this and hopefully fix me would be much appreciated. I cant continue living like this, if I don't get some help now im scared I will make the wrong decisions and that I wont have any control over my body anymore. Please Help.
Also, I am not a standard teen experiencing normal hormone changes, so I would appreciate if only helpful comments are posted for me. I have suffered from this condition for as long as I can remember. I have hidden it and suffered emotional stress. I have been professionally councilled by doctors for my anxiety and mental state for over a year now. It has taken me a long time to confess that this is my nucleus of stress.
I was given PSAS info to read up on. It is exactly what I suffer. I am helpless and very lost. I would really like information on things to try, medications, creams, experienced doctors etc. Thank you

I am a 46 year old woman living in NZ and I have had this condition for about 2 and a half years. Sorry I don't know of any Support groups but somedays when I feel it is going to ruin mylife I tell myself that it is still better than feeling excrucuiating pain or chronic itching all the time and that can make me deal with the sensations better. Mine came on after a bout of depression. Happy to chat if it helps you. Sonya

I have Multiple Sclerosis and suffer from what I think is PSAS. I want to know if there can be a neurological correlation and what I can do to help this annoying problem. I am 46 and this has gotten worse. I just also have been diagnosed with a ovarian cyst that they they think is benign. Could this also be a cause?

Thanks,

Sue

You should consider looking into a nerve condition known as pudendal neuropathy. I work for an internationally known doctor that specializes in this. It can cause persistent sexual arousal and I have personally seen patients who suffer from this that benefit from treatment.

My mom is a 60 year old that is suffering from this and one thing I must say is thank you to all of you that have given their opinions in this forum, mom had been thinking that she was the only person with this problem and took a long time to even talk to her doctor about it. I hope a cure can be found soon. God Bless.

I'm 28 years old from the Middle East and have been having this issue ever since I can remember [Very Very young age] My Mother took me to clinics and one dr suggested that it might be a result of having Hernia (which later I got diagnosed for) but the condition never stopped but probably got worst.. I have been searching all these years for answers until I came across a documentary highlighting this issue in 2007. Now at least there are blogs and sites highlighting this SYNDROME which will definitely helps Women all over the world to understand it, give awareness and hopefully get a cure. L.B

Please see an Asian doctor it's related to a nerve along the side of your foot that goes up to your big toe. It's being stimulated and in turn stimulating your arousal. It sounds crazy but it's one of the very possible causes that always gets overlooked by medical doctors.
