Kidney Stones

Hello,

I have a history of recurring kidney stones &and Infections. I am having acute pain in my lower back, groin and kidney. I had a CT Scan done yesterday and it did not show blockage, however it did show urine back-up in the left kidney. A urine sample was tested in the office and did not show signs of infection. It has been sent to the lab for analyzes. All these tests were done when I had excess sweating. I drink over a gallon of water a day. Can I be dehydrated? I am in pain. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of it?
Thanks,
Dale

Drink about 2 to 3 liters of water, which can include water, orange juices and other liquids. Have potassium citrate solution dissolved in water at least three times a day. If you are a women ensure the urine is sterile all the time otherwise the stones will form again. If there are small stones you can have ESWL , if they are big there are other options.

Thank You, Can Serumurology help to relieve the pain quickly? What is ESWL? I am a male of 57 years old, with chronic kidney problems. But this lower back pain is new.

After 10 years of having stones, I finally found a good doctor who ran tests to find out why I was getting stones. Has anyone done this for you? I had a tumor in my parathyroid gland that was causing my stones. Since my stones may not be calcium, therefore they would not show up on a regular CT.
