Peptic Ulcer

Peptic ulcers are ulcers or sores in the esophagus, stomach or the upper part of the small intestines. The main symptom of peptic ulcers is abdominal pain which is worse when your stomach is empty. Most ulcers are caused by infection with Helicobacter pylori, and not because of stress or spicy food.

How can I control and cure ulcer? Do I need to follow any controlled diet? If Yes, do tell me what are all the foods that should not be taken?

Yes a very strict diet is to be followed for peptic ulcer. Oily, spicy foods are a strict no no. No pickles, fermented food like idli-dosa. Avoid using Tur dal, curds, green chillies. Meals should consist of buttermilk and milk. Also take meals at regular times and do not stay hungry or delay meals.

Apart from diet control and PPI s Colostrum can heal the ulcers if taken in a right dosage.
