Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome / SARS

SARS, or the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome, is a viral disease of the respiratory system which causes fever, muscle pain, cough and sore throat. The disease may cause abnormal patches to appear in the lungs. It killed 10% of the people infected with it during the SARS epidemic of 2003.
