I am suffering from enlarged Prostate,causing frequent urination,since Oct.2012.urologist prescribed Silodosin 8mg &Duprost-0.5mg.PSA came down from 8.78 to 6.He noticed from Transrectal sonography, some inflammation on seminal Vesicles and asked for doxy1 additionally for 21days.PSA is 3.59,but continued with Both above drugs with Ofloxacin 400mg for 45 days.
I am already taking BP drugs-Amlodipine2.5mg and Atenolol 25mg once a day.
Whether other drugs have any adverse effect on my BP and/or breathing at 75.
Kindly also let me know,any effect on my vision.

Ofloxacin or Doxy as such shall not cause hypertension

agdesai 19 Feb 13 3:02 AM i am sorry and not very happy with one line answer.I read that these drugs of Prostate,do induce cancer on long-run use.I am under treatment since last six months and want to know whether they are to be taken for life time.secondly,I am a Narrow angle Glaucoma patient having undergone,Laser surgery & subsequently Cataracts' surgery in BEs.My IOP is 12/14mm Hg without using any eye drops.(sorry as I didn't mention earlier)My urination frequency has reduced from 4/5times to 2/3times at night with same water intake.Whether PSA needs to be monitored once in 6months.What is the goal PSA to continue treatment?I did read that Duprost adversely affect vision and I once again request you to review the details.thanks for reply.Warm regards,
