It is absolutely scary how far women can go to get the perfect hourglass figure? Women today are opting for a quick fix solution to get that narrow waistline. Now how do you get that?  Well rib resection or rib removal promises that. For rib resection usually the 11th and 12th and sometimes the 10th ribs are removed to get that perfect hourglass figure. These ribs are called the floating ribs because they do not join at the breast bone.

Removing ribs as in removing the protective cover that protects the organs is indeed a serious decision. It is a complex surgery as it is going beyond the skin and the fat layer.  It is a major surgery and hence a lot of rest is required after the surgery.

Ribs protect our major organs. So there is a huge risk of injuring one of the major organs. Plus chances of collapsed lungs are also high. Remember ribs protect vital organs such as liver, spleen, kidney and lungs, so removal of ribs can expose these organs to injuries. Injuring one of the major organs can be fatal. Chances of collapsed lungs are also high.

My advice would be to sweat it out instead of taking the short cut way and ending up injuring yourself. Do a complete work out of lower and upper abs along with the oblique. Plus it has to be a combination of cardio and floor exercises
