Massage the baby gently with your fingers or palms. Avoid using undue pressure while massaging. Avoid the spine area. While massaging, avoid the areas where the baby has rashes or wounds or has been vaccinated. Massaging these areas can hurt the baby. Before you begin massaging ensure that your hands are warm. Aromatherapy oils which are relaxing for adults are not suitable for infants.
