The short urethra (urinary tube from outside to inside of the bladder) in females make them more prone to urinary tract infections. Also older women who are post-menopausal may suffer from what is called Urethral stenosis - a condition not frequently even the general doctor is aware of can cause recurrent UTI. So visit a Urologist to find the right cure.
