I work as Consultant with the USAID-funded Hygiene Improvement Project (HIP) , that promotes three key hygiene practices ; hand washing with soap to reduce death and illness from childhood diarrhea is one of them. USAID in India has proposed a national level intervention for developing a WASH Alliance with focus on hand washing among multiple partners in both the public and private sectors. I am initially working on a review of available literature on hand washing practices and research, I am hopeful that Med India network can provide information about research studies related with Child mortality/diarrhea or hygiene practices. I will be grateful to you for sharing information about following: Results of any studies with technical evidence on Hand washing practices linked with child mortality from India.
