AYUSH Department has failed to follow the guidelines, it has not even approved but allowed hundreds of untested drugs to Government Institutions.The Officers of the Department were directly involved with the companies through their kith and kins.Number of Companies from abroad are selling their products as supplements for cancer, AIDS or other chronic ailments without any check.The majority of the drugs procured by Government does not have any evidence of efficacy and also contain heavy metals which are health hazard. I appeal to Hon'ble Union Health Minister not to allow any drug which contain heavy metals in Government Institutions in the country.Ban five senses test for approval of Ayurvedic Drugs . Every drug procured by Government and semi Government Organization must have under gone proper clinical study.Direction for the withdrawal of all drugs containing heavy metals should be issued. Direct involvement of Union Health Minister will give India qualitative and efficacious Drug in the days to come. All the Drugs/Nutrients/Supplements with foreign labels must be put for screening before allowing them permission
