Nagercoil : It was a memorable day for more than 30 orphans staying in Athencottasan Muthamizh Kazhagam (AMK), a non-governmental organisation based at Naduvoorkarai near Mondaicadu in Kanyakumari district, as the district Governor, Lions Club, Surendaran, visited the orphanage and distributed sweets and gifts to them as part of Christmas and New Year celebrations.

He assured them to extend all kinds of assistance to them. He inaugurated a sanitary complex constructed with the contribution from the Lions Club of Neyyoor — Thinkal Nagar.

The Governor of the Lions Club interacted with the orphans and he motivated them to become experts in various fields. To achieve their goals, the Lions International would not hesitate to extend a helping hand to them.

He urged the management of the AMK to explore the ways and means to bring out their hidden talents.
