I have a family situation right now.my brother in law, 24 years old. had an accident that his head hit the floor while drunk. he was brought to the hospital. The docotor says he had blood clot and pronounce that he is in comatose. Day after that they say it can be cure with a medication and wait for the patient to awake before to take a decision if he needs a surgery or not.
Last night the doctor says his brain is swelling and he lost oxygen for two hours. Now he has tubes and evrything. The first day he is self supporting.
I don't understand why they need to wait for the patient to awake before to have a surgery. My mother in law says that when he talks to him to move his hand if he don't want her to leave, he moved his hand. Meaning he is responding. They even saw him open his eyes a bit.
Please advice....please...
