I am a self employed medical doctor working and researching on Industrial hazards of mining and processing of minerals like talc ,quartz etc . Well I just want to say that "Its a shame " .We all as medical students and now as doctors around the world use to give examples regarding the capable health care system of USA . Still I must say its never too late . For practitioners I would say that normally the patients who come for Endoscopy they are suffering from some sort of ailments like Active Liver Disease ,any G I Bleed or Carcinoma etc so for these patients Extra Extra care is must . Also I would like to know about the instrumentation that was used in Endoscopy .Were mouthpiece reused without recomended sterlization? Also I think it should be mandatory for testing patients undergoing Endoscopy for Viral diseases like HIV , Hep B , Hep C .
Awareness to general public will be very helpful as well.
