Well, if the question is whether too much cell phone usage is a threat to health, then the answer is simple.......yes!

1) Firstly, in a country like india, how many people know the term 'specific bsorption rate'? What is its min and max value of body exposure? Are the mobile companies following any stict law regarding SAR? If i am not wrong, mobile towers are to be constructed beyond a minimum height and distance from human habitat, do we follow any such law or is the government looking up to it? Cellular companies are just looking at their gains, all this does'nt matter to them it seems.

2) We are now facing a new addiction problem....Mobile addiction. Youngsters and teenagers are constantly getting attracted to this device leading to a crave for newer models for popularity. Robbery, late night calling leading to sleep disorders, pornography, you name it we have this connected to the cellular world these days. Youngsters are freaking out on SMS's, games, movies, internet on mobiles and how much qualitative use is being made we all are aware right?
I read this news coloumn in times of india where a teenage girl had to be put in a de-addiction centre just because she became mentally instable just because her friends stopped messaging her and calling her. prior to this she used to steal money from her parents to recharge her mobile.
As we see, mobile has become the fastest, easiest, cheap means of communication, entertainment, pleasure today. But a thought must be put to it whether this technology is so necessary that our generation next suffers from it.

3) Radiation exposure over a very long time will, without any doubt, will leave microscopic changes at hormonal, structural, cellular levels. well it is yet to prove so i need not say much but postural musculoskeletal problems, sleep disorders, personality disorders, depression are already errupting in the cellular mania. cellular communication is also causing a major change in human interaction on family, business, friendship levels. with a cell phone in our hand we are spending less time for say a cup of coffee with a friend or a face to face chat with a loved one.
