I am 7 years out from roux n y gastric bypass. I am in an argument with a relative. Do I need to be concerned with malabsorption still? I currently take a time released opiod for chronic pain, should time released meds be avoided? Why? She is also a gasteric bypass pt. She has always claimed her medication does not absorb properly so requires medication adjustment. I don't care which of us is right, I would just like to end this as I tired of listening to her go on about malabsorption. Also I ve started gaining weight which is devastating to me. is there a way to stop the grehlin hormones? Initially after surgery and for a few years I was never hungry, this has changed. Thank you
