I am a recently licensed esthetician. A young girl was brought in by her mother, her mother advising that her daughter "had dry patches on her skin."] The young girls skin is hard to describe, but it remind me of the feel of crusty snow. The didn't really have patches, her arms face and chest all had the same condition. She did have beautiful pale skin but the feel was really bizarre. She did have some breakouts on her chin so her condition wasn't from a loss of oil. I've looked up asteatosis and alipidic symptoms but these conditions don't seem to fit the description.
