Drug-Induced Birth Defects

Ever heard of the Thalidomide disaster? This refers to a certain medical blunder caused by the unrestrained prescription of the Thalidomide drug to pregnant women – and as a result, children born with seal like limbs. This, and other drug-induced fetal abnormalities happen due to the teratogenicity of certain drugs.

Guard yourself and keep yourself informed of the hazardous nature of certain drugs. Talk to other would-be parents and gain valuable advice from doctors at Medindia’s support group.
