I'm not sure if I would've fell into this catagory or not. I started masterbating at 5yrs old and I first started out with short dull objects like crayons, then eventually sharper and longer like pencils, pokers to fire places, shears/sissors, hangers, meat cleavers, and whatever I could use in place of a dildo. I've been able to go without masterbating for months, sometines years and then for no apparent reason it will hit me again. I'm 34 now, and I had a relative sexually assult me at 5yrs old.

I have read the responses from other women, and it surprises me, I thought i was the only one that did crazy things when i was young or still today. I am married and it is causing trouble in my marriage. I am trying to figure out a way in my mind to stop it, but i keep coming back to feeling turned on. This is a first step for me, saying it out loud. I will look for help soon. thanks

Hi my name is Jan and I am just happy to finally find something on line that may explain what is happening to me. I was at my witts end and was afraid to tell anyone and not sure exactly how to if I did. I have had several serious illnesses including breast cancer 3 times and ovarian cancer once. I also had bariatric surgery then plastic surgery to remove 75 pounds of fat and skin which I had gained doing Cancer treatments. For about a year I had no feeling in the lower abdomen and sex was not enjoyable at all but then about 6 months ago I started feeling and doing the weirdest things. I dont sleep for several nights in a row because of these feelings of being sexually aroused but having sex doesn't stop it, it last for hours and sometimes days. sometimes it will just hit me when I am in the grocery store or driving down the road. the worst was at my ten year olds school program for veterans day when he was honoring my husband I had to leave I broke out into a sweat and the arousal was so bad it was painful I went out and ran the school track. is there any help for us. I don't know if it has anything to do with it but I also have restless leg syndrome.

Jan - I know this post is older and that you might not even think to check and see this, but I wanted to let you know that I feel so badly for the both of us. I also have PGAD, and first found out the name for it today. At first, the doctors thought it might be a problem with my kidneys or bladder, but every single test they did showed nothing. I am almost 62 years old, and this started when I was 57-58. Some days, like today it is worse, and I am so uncomfortable all the time. Other days are a little better, giving me periods of a few hours when the symptoms are not quite so bad. What I felt I wanted to tell you is that I also have RLS. The more I think about this, the more I personally feel that there is a definite connection between the two. My RLS has been around a long time, probably 25 years or more, and about 5 years ago it started affecting my arms as well. I think as the RLS gets worse new symptoms or additional parts of the body have become affected by the RLS.

I am a 52 year old African American women who has suffered with this condition for almost 6 years. Just recently, the condition has gotten worse. I feel overwhelmed like I need a cure and cannot think of anything to do to stop the sensation I feel in my vaginal area. I spoke with the OB-GYN about this over the years to no avail. I have irregular periods and the last two months I have been spotting only to experience a period of excessive bleeding that has lasted for five days. This being the fifth day, and it looks as though it will be the last for this cycle. I am trying to avoid doing anything drastic and really hope this is my body's way of whinding down and its introduction to perimenopause for me. I welcome all comments. Sincerely, Cyndi
